She is a research university at the University of California (UCLA) in Los Angeles and a member of the Association of American Universities. Founded in 1919, the University currently has 27,000 undergraduate and 11,500 graduate students. The University includes the UCLA School of Science and Letters, Specialized Schools – Law, Public Relations and Theater – and provides training in Health Sciences Programs, which are spread across dentistry, nursing and public health schools.
