Volda University College

   Volda University College (Norwegian: Høgskulen i Volda or HVO) is a høgskole, a Norwegian state institution of higher education, in the town of Volda in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It was established on 1 August 1994, when the Møre og Romsdal regional college and the Volda Teachers College were merged. The College has a long tradition in Volda dating back to a teachers’ training college which was first established here in 1895. The current rector is Johann Roppen and it has approximately 3,700 students and 340 employees.

    The university college is divided into four faculties:

Faculty of Humanities and Education 

Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts

Faculty of Social Sciences and History

Faculty of Media and Journalism.
